A Rather Grim Tale

Hello Everybody!

Recent reports, that Paddington Bear

is in training to become a "Grim Reaper" appear to be actually true

Paddington Bear, is the latest, in a line of recent

"Big Name" recruits- some of whom are shaping up more sucsessfully than others...

Take Casper the Friendly Ghost for instance?

Casper failed his initiation, for being too friendly...

Now come on Casper, it was a fair cop,

because as we all know,

<ahem>

Bruce Forsyth was invited to try out for the part,

but his catch-phrases let him down rather badly,

"Nice to see you-to see you...NICE!"

was considered to be a bit too enthusiastic,

while his refusal to bring "grim reaper" like
tidings, to any twins, caused consternation.
"Why not?" asked the High Heid yin Grim Reaper?

"Weell?" replied Brucie...

"You don't get anything for a pair do you?

NOT IN THIS GAME!"

<ahem>

Speaking of Catchphrases,

Cilla Black's "Surprise Surprise!"

Didn't go down too well either...

Another failed (deceased) candidate,

was Kenny From Southpark

While the High Heid Yin Grim Reaper was trying to

train young kenny, the little fellar got a bit over excited,

and in the ensuing kerfuffle, there was an unfortunate incident with the scythe,

forcing the Heid Yin Grim Reaper to wail...

"OH NO IVE KILLED KENNY"

Carol Smilie failed,

because it was figured that her

"smiley smiley Carol Smilie smile,

would slay people quicker than the Scythe would.

And while Kate Bush looked rather fetching,

as a Grim Reaper,

there were fears, that she had a very old score to settle with a certain "Heathcliffe"

Trinny and Susanah, lost their jobs as dresser to the reapers, after Anthea turner was spotted wearing a rose garland around her neck.

Anthea herself was eventually dismissed when "unneccsary" adornments were found on her scythe.

Jimmy Tarbuck got the sack,

after using his scythe for a round of golf,

and Gordon Ramsay

was reprimanded for waving his Scythe around

in front of nervous young trainee chefs.

I hope that this entry does not leave you

dear gentle reader(s) traumatised,

there is no cause for concern that any of these
happless grim reapers are coming to look for you...

not unless, you should happen to be a CAT that is....

Is That Ok?

OH MUMMY PLEASE CAN WE GO OUT TODAY?
THE SKY'S A LOVELY SHADE OF GREY
I WANT TO RUN ABOUT AND PLAY
IS THAT OK?

MUMMY SAYS ITS GOING TO RAIN
AND SAYS THAT I SHOULD NOT COMPLAIN
I CAN GO OUTSIDE TO PLAY
WHEN ALL THE CLOUDS HAVE GONE AWAY

OH MUMMY PLEEEESE CAN WE GO OUT TODAY?
TIDDLES WANTS ME TO COME AND PLAY

AND TIMMY THINKS THAT WALKIES WOULD BE GAY

IS THAT OK?

MUMMY SAYS WE ALL MUST WAIT
TIMMY IS CROSS HE'S SULKING GREAT

I WANT TO PLAY OUT IN THE RAIN
BEFORE IT HEADS OFF OUT TO SPAIN.

MUMMY SAYS ITS TIME FOR TEA.

WHICH MEANS NO OUTDOORS PLAY FOR ME
RAINDROPS PITTAPATT ONE TWO THREE

ON THE WINDOW OF MY NURSERY

GUESS WHAT MUMMY SAID TO ME
BECAUSE YOU ATE UP ALL YOUR TEA
PUT ON YOUR YELLOW MAC AND HAT
THE RAIN HAS STOPPED (FANCY THAT)

MUMMMY TIDDLES RAN AWAY
WHEN THE SKY TURNED BACK TO GREY
AND TIMMY'S SPLASHED A PUDDLE OVER ME FOUR TIMES -I SAY?

I WANT TO GO INDOORS. IS THAT OK?

*I got my inspiration for this poem from the final picture that I published.

In case anyone wondered? that's not a little girl, its actually a doll no kidding! lol

She lives in the corrider outside the hospital outpatients clinic, which I am currently attending

The first time I saw the doll (out of the corner of my eye) I literally did a double take, the doll is extremely lifelike, and quite an unlikely sight to see in a hospital corrider.

I asked for permission to take a picture of her, that was one time in my life when i could hardly wait to return to the hospital for my next visit

<ahem> LOL

...there you go Beth, I dedicate this poem to you, as it was you who saw this picture first, during an amazing chat that we had... and I didn't forget my promise to write a blog about her.

maybe you could give her a name? I never did get to see the doll's face, but even if i did get permission to look, I think i would be loathe to turn her away from the wall that she's hugging!

Goodbye To Sandra Dee

Hello Everybody,

I am struggling still, to blog.

This dryness is lasting a long time, but I ask you all

to please bear with me.

I designed a brand new layout design for my page

(no kidding)

and I was going to lay it on here today.

But when I took a long last look at this page, I realised that I honestly don't want to change the look in here...

(well not yet anyway)

Although I have been absent for a long time, my heart is still with Spaces.

Ive not been moonlighting anyplace else

try asking anyone who has tried to contact me on other

social networks

I feel (honestly) that a change is going to come

and to prove my commitment to my friendship to all of you here is a preview of the design of my new space layout.

I declare this design space officially "open" for viewing,and for commenting too.

One day I might transfer the design of the space over here

And one day I might find my muse again...

*Last night I had a detailed dream of a song.

I knew in the fugginess of dream-world, that I should grab pen and paper, but sadly I didnt waken up long enough to do so.

But the two sentiments that I remember from the song, were...

"look on the bright side, every single day"

and..

"make proud, your mother father sister brother, husband son and daughter,all along the way"

I hope you all have a great week, I promise (again)

to try and visit you all-with comments.
